Distributing Bibles to poor kids

The MELM represented by Ms. Katia Sahyouni and Mr. Mark Rahme visited a camp prepared for poor kids living in a very poor called Nabaa-Beirut. All kids came from different religious backgrounds. During our visit we gave them a Bible lesson, explaining the importance of God’s Holy Word and what He has done for us and them through Jesus. We also talked about salvation in Jesus and his ultimate love as reflected in the cross.  The kids were blessed and interacted well with the message. Many of them asked important questions about God and Jesus. In addition, every one of them was very happy to receive the Bible, and so eager to read it as soon as it reached their hands. They promised us to read it every day because they want to know more about Jesus.

In addition, the kids learned about the importance of the Bible because it is the inspired word of God to us. Also the program included a Red Cross first aid session, in which the kids learned how to deal with urgent harmful situations and how to save themselves or their friends.  The participants loved what they heard about Jesus, and were very happy to receive the Bible as a gift, and many of them couldn’t wait to go home and start reading it.
