The MELM yearly calendar for 2012 has a special theme that talks about when Jesus washed the feet of His disciples. “Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet” (John 13: 14). The calendar theme teaches us an example in humbleness from our master. In addition, it teaches about the love of Christ on the cross, and our need to be washed the whole of us from our sins through His forgiveness and salvation. The calendar also includes Bible correspondence courses enrollment track, and ministry and publications advertisement. The MELM is preparing to distribute this calendar to many Arab countries.
The MELM volunteers prepared a program for poor kids living in poor area called Zouk Mikael-Lebanon. The program included a Bible lesson talks about “The Boy Who Gave His Lunch Away”(John 6:1-15), competitions, games , and many other activities. The kids were blessed and interacted well with the message. In addition, every one of them was very happy to receive the Arch book story “The Boy Who Gave His Lunch Away” and so eager to read it as soon as it reached their hands.
Ms. Katia Sahyouni our MELM public relation manager, witnessed in a debate class to the university students at NDU, one of the Lebanese universities who hold a very good reputation, where she talked about the importance of the word of God and how we should keep it in our mind and hearts to avoid Satan’s temptations and attractions. Based on what she presented, the MELM contributed the Bible to each student in the class. The professor and the students were eager to read the Bible. They were very grateful for this gift and the care that MELM is presenting.
